High quality and timely work

Proven industry experience

An LSP with a focus on the Belarusian language and support for other language pairs
LINGVA-BY was founded in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. We provide expert localization services, with a specialized focus on Belarusian as our core competitive advantage. This is also reflected in our company name: LINGVA for languages and linguistics with BY as a country code for Belarus (formerly: BYELORUSSIA). We help international clients speak to our market in the national languages.
Our roots go back to the non-profit Francišak Skaryna Belarusian Language Society, whose members formed the core of the LINGVA-BY agency when it was founded in 2006. The Society’s goals are to promote the Belarusian language and to harmonize it in both the linguistic and normative aspects. The mission of LINGVA-BY is to ensure correct Belarusian translation from foreign languages. Since our agency specializes in the Belarusian language, our pool of Belarusian translators consists of professionals who are native speakers of Belarusian and actively use it in their daily lives. It helps to perform Belarusian translations directly and promptly.
In addition to our core expertise in Belarusian, we specialize in Ukrainian, Russian, and other languages of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Baltics. Our major source languages we work with are English, German, Polish, as well as Czech, Dutch, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. We are presented by the individual entrepreneur Vitali Stanisheuski in Belarus and LINGVA-BY Sp. z o. o. in Poland.

Taking part as LINGVA-BY representative in community initiative Perakladaton in our native walls of the Belarusian Language Society.

Quality Principles
We deliver high quality work on time
Our vendors undergo strict screening and their performance is continuously monitored. We ensure accurate phrasing and terminological precision in every project. For large texts, we analyze frequent terms and prepare a glossary to ensure consistency. After a translation is completed by a translator, another linguist checks it against the source, followed by proofreading. Automated QA checks are also performed.

A Word from the Owner

Vitali Stanisheuski giving a presentation at the II Belarusian Translators Forum
I have come a long way from an in-house translator and freelancer to the director of a translation agency. I ensure high quality myself and demand the same from my subcontractors to guarantee the promised high standard. Over the course of my professional career, a comprehensive workflow has been developed that involves engaging qualified specialists for each project.
I haven’t abandoned my translation craft and often “roll up my sleeves” to work on translations. More information about me can be found in my translator profile. There, you can also see my own translations and other info that may be of interest to you.
